St. Cyprian’s Ushers’ Guild will be hosting its Annual Red Snapper-Fried Chicken Brunch on Sunday, July 29, 2012 after the 9:30 am morning service. Tickets are $15.00 available at the door. Come to Service and stay for brunch!

The parish will be celebrating the installation of the Rev. Dr. Monrelle T. Williams as the seventh rector of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church. The service will take place at 5:00 pm, Sunday, April 29, 2012. This will be a most festive occasion! The Rt. Rev. M. Thomas Shaw, SSJE, Bishop of Massachusetts, will be principal celebrant. A reception follows in the Edrick Bain Church Hall. There will be no 10:30 am Eucharist on the 29th.

Mark your calendars for two events hosted by St. Cyprian’s. The Vestry is hosting a Mother’s Day Buffet May 13, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the Edrick Bain Church Hall. For more information, click here. Sunday, March 4, 2012, the congregation of St. Cyprian’s welcomed its new pastor, the Rev. Dr. Monrelle Williams. The welcome took place during the Sunday Eucharist which Fr. Williams celebrated. After the service, a festive reception was held in the church hall.

We greet and welcome our new Rector, the Rev. Dr. Monrelle Williams, who will celebrate the Sunday liturgy, March 4, 2012 at 10:30 am. There will be a meet and greet reception following the Eucharist in the parish hall. Spread the word and help us welcome our new pastor!.

During the Lenten season, a Eucharist will be celebrated on Wednesday mornings at 7:00 am. The service will conclude around 7:30 am. If you are unable to participate at the Wednesday morning service, we invite you to join us at the United Lenten Devotions hosted on a rotating schedule by several churches in the Dorchester/Roxbury/Boston neighborhoods. This Wednesday, February 29, 2012, the Rev. Miriam Sedzro will preach at St. Mark’s 73 Columbia Road, Dorchester at 7:00 pm. You are invited to dine with other worshipers at 6:00 pm. As we announced a few weeks ago, St. Cyprian’s was hosting the 2012 Diocese of Massachusetts-Union of Black Episcopalians’ Annual Absalom Jones celebration. This year’s festival was a joyful time of thanksgiving and celebration. A major part of the celebration is the awarding  of the Frederick Douglass Isaacs, Jr. Parish Lay Leadership Award of Merit to representatives of the participating parishes.
