Tickets are now on sale for the 45th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast, January 19, 2015 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, 415 Summer St., Boston, 8:00 am. This annual event is hosted by St. Cyprian’s and Union United Methodist Church. The keynote speaker for the 2015 breakfast will be Dr. Cleveland Sellers, President of Voorhees College, an historically Black college with Episcopalian affiliation. During the 1960s, Dr. Sellers was a major figure in SNCC – the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee – taking part in many of the most significant actions that took place in the South. Considering the recent events in Ferguson, MO and New York City, Dr. Sellers’ address will be timely and meaningful. Also joining the morning’s event will be the senior elected officials of Boston and Massachusetts.
