Due to the unsettled weather conditions, the September 20, 2017 Wednesday evening Bible Study at St. Cyprian’s is cancelled. The class will be back in session on the 27th.
The August collection of non-perishable food items for St. Cyprian’s Food Pantry will take place on Sunday, August the 6th rather than the second Sunday of the month as usual. So, again, please make a note: bring food next Sunday, the 6th! Thank you!
The parishes of the Roxbury Dorchester Power in Community Mission hub–St. Cyprian’s, St. Augustine-St. Martin, and St. Mary’s celebrated a Eucharist and picnic in Franklin Park Sunday, June 25th. This is the second annual celebration of the hub’s constituent parishes. Here is a small album with some pictures from the event. Enjoy!
We have put additional photos up on a new Flickr account. Click here to see them. We would like to thank Mr. Ronald Williams for providing the photos for the website!
The Edrick Bain Church Hall at St. Cyprian’s will be the site for the 30th Annual Food Festival presented by the Caribbean Heritage Association, Inc. on July 15, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Our monthly collection of non-perishable food supplies for St. Cyprian’s Food Pantry will take place this Sunday, May 7th rather than our usual second Sunday of the month. Please remember this ministry and be generous! Thanks!

This next Wednesday, March 1, 2017 marks the beginning of Lent. We will be celebrating Ash Wednesday at 7:00 am with a said Eucharist and the imposition of ashes. As is our parish custom, we will celebrate a Wednesday morning said Eucharist throughout the lenten season at 7:00 am. We expect the service to conclude around 7:30 am. Please do join us. Our parish along with several of our neighbors will be observing an ecumenical evening service on Wednesdays at various parishes throughout our area. The schedule for the United Lenten observance can be found here.
The United Lenten Devotions Wednesday night series begins March 8th. This year, we will be using the theme, “Father, forgive them” from Jesus’s last words on the cross as found in the Gospel according to Luke. We will be using the texts to provide opportunity to reflect on the places that we need to be reconciled to God and to each other and the ways that we are called to work for reconciliation in the world around us. Please join us!
