We celebrate the birth of our Lord this Sunday, December 25, 2022 at 10:30 am. Please join us in person. On December 18, 2022 we will celebrate the fourth Sunday of Advent with the traditional Service of Nine Lessons and Carols. The service will be held at 4:00 pm. We will not have a morning service (our 10:30 Eucharist) on the 18th. Christmas: we will celebrate Christmas at 10:30 am with a service of the Eucharist. New Year’s: Please join us for the celebration of the beginning of 2023 on January 1, 2023 at 10:30 am.
This coming Sunday is the third Sunday in the Advent season. Since the Middle Ages it has been called Gaudete Sunday. The Latin word Gaudete means ‘rejoice’. This is the Sunday when we contemplate the joy of Christ’s coming and our redemption. This Sunday we light the rose-colored candle as a symbol of that joy. Please join us at 10:30 am for our service of Holy Eucharist, Rite II. We ask that if you are joining us in person to wear a mask while in the church building.
