We greet and welcome our new Rector, the Rev. Dr. Monrelle Williams, who will celebrate the Sunday liturgy, March 4, 2012 at 10:30 am. There will be a meet and greet reception following the Eucharist in the parish hall. Spread the word and help us welcome our new pastor!.

Lenten Devotions

During the Lenten season, a Eucharist will be celebrated on Wednesday mornings at 7:00 am. The service will conclude around 7:30 am. If you are unable to participate at the Wednesday morning service, we invite you to join us at the United Lenten Devotions hosted on a rotating schedule by several churches in the Dorchester/Roxbury/Boston neighborhoods. This Wednesday, February 29, 2012, the Rev. Miriam Sedzro will preach at St. Mark’s 73 Columbia Road, Dorchester at 7:00 pm. You are invited to dine with other worshipers at 6:00 pm. As we announced a few weeks ago, St. Cyprian’s was hosting the 2012 Diocese of Massachusetts-Union of Black Episcopalians’ Annual Absalom Jones celebration. This year’s festival was a joyful time of thanksgiving and celebration. A major part of the celebration is the awarding  of the Frederick Douglass Isaacs, Jr. Parish Lay Leadership Award of Merit to representatives of the participating parishes. Ash Wednesday – 2012

We will mark the beginning of the Lenten season Wednesday, February 22, 2012 with an Ash Wednesday Eucharist and imposition of ashes. The service will begin at 7:00 am. As it is a workday for most, we plan to conclude the service at 7:30 am.
