February 5th, 2018 | Posted by admin in Uncategorized - (Comments Off on Forty Days – Lenten Observance at St. Cyprian’s)

We will mark the start of Lent this year—Wednesday, February 14, 2018—with a said Eucharist, homily and imposition of ashes at 7:00 AM. We will celebrate a said Eucharist throughout Lent until Holy Week with a Wednesday morning short, said Eucharist at 7:00 AM. The service usually runs until 7:30 so that participants will not have work schedule difficulties. In addition to our observance of Lent at St. Cyprian’s, we will be participating in the United Lenten Devotions, a shared observance moving among the churches in our area on Wednesday evenings beginning with a simple meal at 6:00 PM and thereafter a liturgy at 7:00 PM. The entire schedule for the United Lenten can be consulted here.
