The Vestry has voted to call a special parish meeting for October 18, 2015 directly following the Sunday liturgy. The sole item of business will be a review and vote on a second revision of the parish by-laws.
Last spring, the revised by-laws approved at the 2015 Annual Parish Meeting were sent to the Standing Committee of the diocese. Under the canons of the diocese, any revisions to a parish’s by-laws must be reviewed and approved by the Standing Committee. Suggestions were made by a member of the Standing Committee to bring our revisions into alignment with the diocesan model by-laws.
A draft of the second revised by-laws integrating the suggestions is available here. Printed copies can be found at the back of the church. If you have any questions, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org .
Sunday, September 13, 2015 marks the Sunday on which we celebrate the feast of St. Cyprian, Bishop of Carthage in North Africa and Martyr for the faith, the patron saint of our parish. For those unable to attend services in person, we will be resuming our live internet transmission of the Sunday liturgy.
