St. Cyprian of Carthage ~ September 14, 2025

September 11th, 2025 | Posted by admin in Uncategorized

This Sunday we celebrate the feast of St. Cyprian of Carthage, our congregation’s patron saint. This African bishop was a pastor, teacher, and martyr. Born around 200 AD, he converted to Christianity and became bishop of Carthage around 249 AD. The Christian community in North Africa was aggressively persecuted by Rome. Cyprian remained throughout the persecution a witness to Christ. For his vigorous support of the Christian community, he was martyred September 14, 258 AD. Join us for our 10:30 AM service of sermon and Holy Eucharist, Rite II. If you are unable to be with us in person, visit our YouTube site. Here is the link. The readings for St. Cyprian’s day may be found here. God bless!
