The annual Ceremony of Nine Lessons and Carols will be celebrated on December 18, 2011 at 5:00 pm. This is a tradition at St. Cyprian’s that reflects another side of the rich musical and worship traditions of the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion. Everyone is welcome to come and take part in this wonderful celebration of the Advent and Christmas seasons.
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Phyllis Wilson-Lovell last week. The viewing will take place at St. Cyprian’s Church, Friday, November 25, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The memorial service celebrating her life will follow the viewing at 7:00 pm.
May she rest in peace.
St. Cyprian’s Men’s Fellowship is hosting its annual St. Andrew’s Day Breakfast in support of the Fellowship’s scholarship program. This year’s speaker will be Mr. Frank Allen Pryor, Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to City Councillor Tito Jackson. The breakfast will be held in the Edrick Bain Hall, the lower level of the church at 8:15 am, Sunday, November 27, 2011. Tickets for adults are $12.00 and for children $6.00. Mark your calendars! St. Cyprian’s joyous Advent concert will take place December 4, 2011 at 5:00 pm. This annual event brings us all into the Christmas spirit. The Ushers’ Guild of St. Cyprian’s is sponsoring its second annual “An Evening of Elegance” event on Sunday afternoon, October 30, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The annual St. Cyprian’s Dinner Dance sponsored by the Vestry was a success! The event held every year at Annunciation Church Hall in West Roxbury brought together many of St. Cyprian’s family and friends to enjoy the gala.
