Third Sunday in Advent ~ December 11, 2022

December 7th, 2022 | Posted by admin in Uncategorized - (Comments Off on Third Sunday in Advent ~ December 11, 2022)

This coming Sunday is the third Sunday in the Advent season. Since the Middle Ages it has been called Gaudete Sunday. The Latin word Gaudete means ‘rejoice’. This is the Sunday when we contemplate the joy of Christ’s coming and our redemption. This Sunday we light the rose-colored candle as a symbol of that joy. Please join us at 10:30 am for our service of Holy Eucharist, Rite II. We ask that if you are joining us in person to wear a mask while in the church building. The readings and prayers for Gaudete Sunday may be found at this link. If you are unable to join us in person, please visit our live streaming of the service at this link.
