May 31st, 2016 | Posted by in Uncategorized - (Comments Off on Roxbury-Dorchester Mission Hub Sunday: June 12, 2016 at 10:00 am.)St. Cyprian’s will be joining its partners—St. Augustine-St. Martin and St. Mary’s—for a morning of worship and celebration at Franklin Park (Pierpoint Road off of Circuit Drive). The three partners have created a mission hub—Roxbury-Dorchester Power in Community—an outreach ministry supported by the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.
Worship will begin at 10:00 am. Following the worship service, there will be picnic with games, food, and fellowship.
Directions:
From Mattapan Square: drive up Blue Hill Avenue (Rte 28) towards downtown, pass Franklin Field and Talbot Ave on your right. Go through light at edge of park (intersection with American Legion Highway) and stay on Blue Hill Ave. Next light at Columbia Road intersection, turn left into the park.
From Roxbury and Grove Hall: Take Blue Hill Avenue, through the light at Seaver Street. At next light turn right into the park. Once on Circuit Drive, (the road that goes through the park) drive to Pierpoint Road and take a right onto Pierpoint and continue to the park area.
The 10:30 am Sung Eucharist will not be celebrated at St. Cyprian’s on the 12th.
Change of Location – ECW Event

The event will now take place in the Edrick Bain Church Hall, St. Cyprian’s Church. If you have tickets for the event, please take note of this change.
Good Friday ~ March 25, 2016

This Good Friday tradition has been part of our community’s Holy Week observance for generations. The occasion brings together the young and old, parishioners and friends of the parish for a time of shared devotion. Here is the flyer announcement. Tickets are not needed. A collection will be taken up to support the ministry of the Choir.

The solemn season of reflection and prayer begins on February 10, 2016 with a 7:00 am Eucharist at St. Cyprian’s. During the Lenten season, there will be a 7:00 am Eucharist on Wednesday mornings. This year our parish is participating in what has become a regular part of a lot of peoples’ Lenten discipline–taking part in the ecumenical United Lenten Devotions which take place at a different church in the Boston area. Annual Meeting of the Parish
January 11th, 2016 | Posted by in Uncategorized - (Comments Off on Annual Meeting of the Parish)Enrolled members of the parish are reminded that the Annual Parish Meeting will take place January 31, 2016 following the service. At this meeting in addition to reports by the organizations of the parish, there will be elections of the parish officers: Senior Warden, Junior Warden, Treasurer, and Clerk each of whom serves a one year term and three vestry members each of whom serves a three year term. The duties and responsibilities of these offices are laid out in the parish by-laws which can be consulted here.
