St. Cyprian’s Centennial Celebration Begins!

January 25th, 2013 | Posted by admin in Uncategorized

On Epiphany Day, January 6, 2013, St. Cyprian’s community began the celebration of its centennial. One hundred years ago, the community affiliated formally with the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. The roots of the parish grew from a prayer group of newly arrived immigrants from the West Indies who met for prayer and worship in members’ parlors. Gradually, and with God’s grace, the community developed into a thriving congregation.

During 2013, we will be celebrating the centennial with a number of events. The high points of the year will be in September.

  • On September 15, 2013 at 4:00 pm, a solemn Eucharist of thanksgiving will be celebrated with the Rt. Rev. M. Thomas Shaw, SSJE, as principal celebrant,
  • On Friday, September 20, 2013, a joyous banquet will be held at Lombardo’s in Randolph. Cocktails are at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for the banquet will be $100.00. Those attending the banquet will receive a complimentary copy of the centennial booklet.

Please check this website for further information throughout the year.
