Later in April, the nationally acclaimed author Debie Thomas will be at two events in our diocese. The first is a dinner and conversation for BIPoC leaders, sponsored by the BIPoC Support Subcommittee of the Racial Justice Commission – Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and hosted by the Church of the Holy Spirit, Mattapan on April 26th 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On April 29, 2023, Ms. Thomas will facilitate a conversation with the title “Answering the Provocative Call: to desire, love, and enfold our differences”. It will take place from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm at the Church of Our Saviour in Brookline. There is a fee of $10 per person, scholarships are available. Here is a flyer will all the details.
May 20th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, the Office of Immigration and Multicultural Ministries of the Episcopal Diocese in conjunction with the African Clergy Caucus will present the Second Pan African Conference with the Rev. Canon Walter B. A. Brownridge, Canon to the Ordinary and Canon for Cultural Transformation, the Diocese of Vermont. The Conference will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit.
