We mark the third Sunday in Advent on December 12, 2021. This Sunday is sometimes referred to by its ancient name “Gaudete Sunday”. Gaudete is the first word in the introit (entrance) prayer in the old Latin mass. It means rejoice. On the third Sunday we note the nearness of the Incarnation of Christ. The candle that is lit on this Sunday is rose in color rather than the penitential Advent purple. Please join us in person for our service beginning at 10:30 am.
